My Fake Hermes…By Accident

Saturday, November 24th, 2007

“I look around me and all I see are sympathetic eyes” (Paul Simon) Why? Because I got ripped off thinking I was buying a real Hermes handbag. Instead, I got a cheap wholesale imitation handbag that was apparently real to people who know the difference. Imagine, if you can me walking around in a high fashion scene with my husband the the fake Hermeson my arm. There are all of these high society types everywhere and they’re all looking at my bag. I thought it was because I had this really expensive, cool and fashionable Hermes bag on my arm but as I found out later, it was just a fake Hermes. Imagine my embarrassment and shame. Don’t get caught with a fake bag. Find out how to know whether or not you’re buying the genuine article or you’ll never forget how this feels.

My favorite activity as a child was doll collecting.

Tuesday, November 20th, 2007

It started when my grandmother bought me a porcelain doll for Christmas when I was six years old. I am now sixty-six, and I am still doing it. Doll collecting was one of my favorite activities as a child, but the interest didn’t disappear when I became an adult. If anything, I became more interested in it. After that first doll, I was addicted. I asked my parents, grandparents, and aunts and uncles to get me dolls for Christmas and my birthday. I saved up my allowance to buy dolls. I babysat to earn enough money to buy dolls. When I went away to college, I left my doll collection at my parents’ home. Each time I came home to visit, I would have a few more dolls to add to the collection. When I began working as a nurse, I would buy at least one doll each time I received my paycheck. I still buy dolls to this day.
