Is it mandatory that I wait in line at Costco just to exit the store ?

I know it’s not just Costco too, but they are the store I shop at that has someone at the door at all times. Can stores really enforce this policy? If I were to refuse to have my receipt checked what would happen?

      no you dont have to wait you can even refuse them from checking you only security can do that i kno i worked at walmart and there associated with sams club
