I do it and I drive over 40 miles one way to get there. However this was based on how I buy food for the family, and the fact they had the best price for meds and diapers.

My best recommendation is to take a trip there with a list of food you normally buy as Costco carries bulk, but not bulk of everything.

have a look at the store and prices and compare. Then you can factor in the cost of the cab. How often you run through the purchases in the sizes they get and if your willing to deal with cabbing etc.

I have been a Coscto member since the late 90's and wouldn't trade it. One of the best stores I shop in.

Hope that helps.

You left out too many variables:

How many are you shopping for??

Number of kids??

Distance to and from Costco??

Do you already have a membership?? The "basic" ones cost $50......

If you can figure all that into account, then we could better answer your question......
